Tucked into the mountains just 15 minutes from town, our anagama kiln becomes a place of deep focus and connection during a wood-firing. 73 hours of tending the fire and working alongside an international cohort of artists make the process as much a part of the work as the clay itself. This piece emerged as one of its results—shaped by fire, ash, time, and chance.

*this piece is made from naturally porous clay and is unglazed on the inside. As a result, it is not completely watertight and may allow a small amount of water to seep through or evaporate over time. We recommend using this piece with dried flowers, or placing a saucer or waterproof tray underneath.
